Prabhas starrer Saaho is doing great pre-release business. Earlier, there was a huge competition for the theatrical rights of the film and now, film’s digital rights have been sold out for a stunning price. According to the sources, Amazon Prime Video has bought the digital rights of Saaho for 40+ crores in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. Saaho is the first Indian film bought by Amazon Prime Video for such whopping price!  Bhushan Kumar of T Series had bought the theatrical rights of Saaho in all languages for Rs 320 crores.

 

Everyone knows that the film was made on Rs 350 crores and it has already earned Rs 360 crores! So, Saaho is already running in profits, even before the release of the film which is surprising. We can now say that the movie team is in a safe zone. Helmed by Sujeeth, Saaho has Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapooras the female lead. Shraddha is playing the role of a crime branch officer while Prabhas will be seen as an undercover cop. Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mandira Bedi are essaying negative roles in the movie.

 

The film is produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under UV Creations. Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen in an item number ‘Bad Boy’ which had its lyrical version on YouTube recently. The film is going to be released on August 30^th without any competition as four Indian films which were to be released on the same day have postponed and given the way to Saaho!

subscription fees. you need to keep people entertained with new content or else people will cancel memberships(especially in india)

It depends on the roi. They will get it much sooner with increased registrations. May be they will stop this first month registration free on prime video for a while. Wait prime registration unna Koda all movies are not free kada. Not a big deal.

True we don't have the stats like how many users drop out after one month free subscription... Could be only 2%

Without content  20 Million Prime subscribers

With Good content 30 Million Prime Subscribers will subscribe.

 

He may run in losses.......... But amazon will monetize in other areas.

 

Amazon business model is to attract as many subs as possible and kill Filpkart.
