According to the Associated Press, the Coast Guard has suspended the search for survivors after a catastophic blaze aboard a 75-foot boat left 34 people missing off of Santa Cruz Island. Five crew members escaped and survived, and the bodies of 20 people have been recovered. The rest are presumed dead.
