Nicholas Soames, whose grandfather is sometimes cited as a role model by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, voted against the government on Tuesday in a bid to prevent the country from leaving the European Union without a deal. After the vote, Johnson "deselected" or expelled rebels from the party, including Soames.
