Nadal has won the title but Medvedev has won the hearts of all including the full capacity crowd at the Arthur Ashe stadium. 

What a performance by a first time finalist, I hope to see him not less than 10 GS titles with the kind of steely resolve and ice cool demeanor he has. Medvedev has won a fan in me with his performance last night, arguably the best performance by a first time finalist in a long, long time.
