as long as the patriarchy exists, it's convenient to have a son I guess.

I know a lot of childless desi couples both here and in India.. Now a days, it is a new trend.. #YOLO (You only live your life once)..

I know a lot of unmarried desis too.. Marriage and 2 kids(1 son 1 daughter) with a home and 2 cars is an outdated formula..

Marriage itself is an outdated institution.. In the next 50 years I expect half of the population to remain unmarried and the trend will slowly spread from the western world to India also..

I think I agree with this analysis. But this may end up decreasing the worlds population drastically or make the world to shift to one particular religion

I would love to have daughters someday rather than having sons.

I think daughters are more closer to their dads.

I have a Daughter and family pressure to have 2nd kid and all are wishing to have a Son.

Even I like to have a Son to balance family, it is making me anxious.
