1857 war , May month lo start ayyindhi. The last British soldier was also thrown out of the country. Because its summer in June,1857, when the message reached England,  the British Army could mobilize the Army in just 2 months across UK. If it happened in winter, Britain could not have gathered the Army so quickly in UK.

India was freed from foreign rule in June,1857 itself. But merry did not last long. Because British Army came back in October,1857 with huge loads of ammunition and with vengeance.

British had two things mainly: Maps and Weapons which no Indian State that time had got.

Only wealth was with Princely States and their families and most of them were already paying taxes to The Crown (via East India Company).

The last recognized ruler was Tippu Sultan and he was killed in 1799. By 1857, whole of India including Pakistan and half- of Afghanstan were under East India Company rule. And renamed as BRITISH INDIA

But after 1857, India was directly included into the Queen Victoria's Direct Rule.
