Gunmaker Colt will no longer produce the AR-15 rifle

Colt, which owns the AR-15 trademark, is stopping production of the semi-automatic rifle due to lack of demand, not because of public pressure, the AP reported. Democrat presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke recently called for a buyback of AR-15 rifles, eliciting a reaction from the National Rifle Association, which predicted that sales of the firearm would rise.
