Variety_Pullayya Posted October 1, 2019 Report Posted October 1, 2019 i heard that thums-up had 80% market share in india when coca cola re-entered and bought it. i understand that coca cola started luring bottling factories away from parle inorder to bring down thumps up...but i felt that parle gave up too easily. also what was indian govt doing when all this was happening? surely looked like they bullied them. They killed the gold-spot brand and almost also killed thumsup and limca had it not been for competition from pepsi. Quote
