There is actually very less information about George Reddy, most people know the name but what exactly he was popular and the incidents that led to the left inspired protests and may be a chance to get introduced to the uprisings happened in 1960’s..it was forgotten era where student politics was part of everyday life and students had a say in right and wrong and universities were hot bed of uprisings, driven by ideologies and supported by knowledge .... RSS/ABVP was there much before the 1960’s but Osmania la valla presence and influence antha ekuva lekunde anukunta... In General, Right wing politics gained prominence after the emergency. Before that we had a socialist ideology and everything from politics to everyday life was dominated by socialist principles. Before 70’s, Right wingers were predominant in western India and north but south lo valla influence and presence which gave rise to left supportive organizations is what it’s hard to believe. Universities were communist favorite places and communist congregations used to happen in the universities. Caste politics and dominant castes upper hand is what I believe could have been a major reason for uprisings of the 60’s. Im not distorting facts here, It’s a discussion which is meant to discuss about a topic. I welcome harsh criticism. Quote
