India registered a steady decrease in hunger over time, from a score of 46.2 in 1992 to 38.2 in 2000 to 35.6 in 2008 to 31.4 in 2017.

Let that sink in.

We have improved steadily over time. Since the countries being compared grew, it meant we lost in the ranking.

 

Now coming to sectors where we were doing badly.

Early Childhood wasting & stunting. In rural areas especially this was mainly because of poor sanitation, rather than malnutrition.

hence the Swatch Bharat campaign and toilet building.

 

Pulkas on one hand mock toilets and Modi picking up trash.

And turn around and mock Children being exposed to these toxic sanitation.
