crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 the funny thing is, every group is now learning that only way to get their demands met is through such mass work stoppage. I'm still hoping that the market will work its magic, and create 50k drivers on 19th. haha.. Quote
crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 what's happening to 'competition'? why can't these bloody taxi drivers compete against each other in a race to the bottom run out of investors money to keep paying these drivers outsized pay aa? Quote
crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 some of there demands are scary Quote

Android_Halwa Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 Its better such groups get an aggregation service of their own to implement their demands... Quote
crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 we, 'the upper middle class of India', who live in lala land demand that we get serviced through amazon at our doorstep, demand we get picked by uber at rates that are not sustainable to them unless they work atleast 12-14hr shifts, demand we get served food through swiggy at the lowest price. and if any of these demands or not met, we will whine on social media until you give all these companies complete freedom to suppress their employees in order to serve us. thank you dear CM/PM. I talked to sevral auto drivers, but i'm too lazy to develop one. I agree that their strike is utterly meaningless, and don't think transport ministry has much capacity to arm twist ola, uber on their behalf. they can simply picket uber, ola ofices in hyd, chennai and everywhere in India. crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 why can't drivers skip one meal every day, save for the future, and 'invest'? with small investments, they can even become ambani one day no? Quote

This is actually a fantastic idea...I saw this being implemented in Edinburgh,Scotland. I think it was city cabs or yellow cabs I don't remember the name exactly... The usual black cabs guys who were hit by the Uber operations, the association of these black cabs have taken a step further to develop an app of their own with some investments from venture capitalists and got an app of their own where the taxi drivers will get almost 90% of the earnings...This is the best way to tackle these corporate blood suckers. I see this happen in almost every major market soon as tech becomes affordable.. Quote
