crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Report Posted October 18, 2019 What a brilliant podcast - replayed from 4yrs ago. http://traffic.libsyn.com/exworker/67_Defend-Rojava_Part_2_Understanding-the-Kurdish-Resistance.mp3 from the history of authoritarian secular Turkey that repressed Islam, to the formation of secular democratic socialist experiment in Rojava, that is an inspiration for every freedom loving person in the world. crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Author Report Posted October 18, 2019 There was another podcast I used to listen where a returning US veteran talks about Rojava, and mentions that there are tensions in the region, from the conservative muslim men who want to have multiple wives, and are against the feminist experiment in Rojava, but they still prefer to live in Rojava, compared to living in Syria under Assad. there was one instance where one married man, with a pregnant wife, took another lover and made her pregnant too. The collective brought him into the justice council, and basically yelled at him for a few minutes. and he yelled back at them. and they went their separate ways after. lol. Quote
crashnburn Posted October 18, 2019 Author Report Posted October 18, 2019 the world's most beautiful, sustainable (in theory if left alone) social experiment is again on the brink of extinction. just like Barcelona was in the 1930s. Quote
