iPhone 11 Pro Max, Priced In India At Rs 1,41,900, Costs Only Rs 35,000 To Make: Report

The price for the top-end 512GB storage variant of iPhone 11 Pro Max in India has been set at Rs 1,41,900. The total cost for parts and manufacturing of 512GB storage variant of iPhone 11 Pro Max reportedly comes to just $490.50 (around Rs 35,000).

 

 

Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro Max was launched in India on September 11, 2019. The price for the top-end 512GB storage variant of iPhone 11 Pro Max in India has been set at Rs 1,41,900. The total cost for parts and manufacturing of 512GB storage variant of iPhone 11 Pro Max reportedly comes to just $490.50 (around Rs 35,000). 

The 91mobiles.com report said that TechInsights disassembled the iPhone 11 Pro Max and estimated the cost of each component. According to the TechInsights, the most expensive part of the iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB variant is the triple-camera setup at $73.50 (around Rs 5,300), followed by the AMOLED display, which is estimated at $66.50 (around Rs 4,752).Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset is priced at $64 (around Rs 4,573). iPhone 11 Pro Max’s battery cost $10.50 (around Rs 750), the 512GB variant’s (non-volatile) memory costs $58 (around Rs 4,200), while the volatile memory is priced at $11.50 (around Rs 830). 

TechInsights further said that the RF Component’s price is valued at $30 and the power management and audio are priced at $10.50 (around Rs 750). The assembly of these components is tallied to $21 (around Rs 1,500). It may seem that Apple is profiting $959 (around Rs 68,600) on each unit it ships, but there are costs such as logistics and marketing involved that will increase the profit.

It is worth mentioning here that Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Huawei Mate 30 Pro reportedly cost about $420 (around Rs 30,000) and $364 (around Rs 18,100) to make, respectively. 

Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max  

Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max supports dual-SIM connectivity via a Nano-SIM card slot and an eSIM. It runs on iOS 13 and pack the Lightning connector. 

The iPhone 11 Pro Max features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR (1,242x2,688 pixels) OLED display with 458ppi and 800-nit peak brightness. 

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is powered by A13 Bionic chip and is rated IP68 for dust and water-resistance. The iPhone 11 Pro Max can last up to 4 metres underwater for up to 30 minutes.  

As far as the optics on the iPhone 11 Pro Max are concerned, Apple’s newly-launched phone comes equipped with a triple camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.8), 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.4) and 12-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.0). On the front, the phone has a 12-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The iPhone 11 Pro Max comes in three storage variants – 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB. However, there is no word on the amount of RAM or battery - as it is usual for Apple. 

 

The iPhone 11 Pro Max can be ordered in Midnight Green, Space Gray, Silver, and Gold.

the 35K doesn't include tariffs as iPhone Pro Max is not made in India.

 

the tariff, I think is a major part of the price here.
