SoftBank is paying WeWork founder Adam Neumann $1.7 billion to step off the board, reports say

Japanese investment firm SoftBank will pay Neumann $1 billion for his shares, a $185 million consulting fee and will offer him $500 million in credit to help repay his loans to JPMorgan, multiple outlets reported.

Wework was worth 47 billion in 2016 so adequate payoff for a cofounder I think.
