I don't know what has been set right but right to religious freedom and practice will keep on interfering with our civil laws and there is no end to it...religious freedom and civil liberties...deeniki oka solution ledu..!!!

Wish we had written our own constitution instead of copy pasting from the Westminster model...

I am torn on the judgement.

 

The spirit of the judgement was spot on - that any gender bias should not exist in any areas.

But Sabarimala is nothing to do with Gender.

As counter point, there are temples in India where men are not allowed.

The tradition in Sabarimala of no entry to women of certain age is similar to temples not allowing men.

 

Where Gender Bias is institutionalized, here, it's not.

There are 2 temples that did not allow women,

And there are more than a dozen temples where men are not allowed.

 

Reasons are not discriminatory but due to faith in that particular dieties.
