Yes, lot of states stopped blindly issuing 5 years and verifying the LPR (Legal Permanent Resident) status and issuing the DL's based on it and they cover REAL ID as well.

Real ID only mandatory in Federal Buildings, Airports etc...

COVID valla Global Entry offices closed. Don’t worry they will open eventually.
