Scammers. Looks like there are many companies running from Indian, pakistan and Middle east. Not just one. 

Older people or people with no awareness fall prey. But most people can recognize that something is wrong when talking to the other guy on the phone. 

There are lot of prank videos in youtube who are trying to make fun engaging with scammers knowing that the caller is infact a scammer.
