it promotes the notion that one can be proud of their kula vrutthi, even if its cleaning drains. 

but what if one wants to completely move away from their kula vrutthhi? how can that person express himself without being called an asshole for looking down on his vrutthhi?

this is soft cultural pressure, to sell his sorrry ass as a cool guy, when he simply isn't.
