Hundreds woken across London by ‘sonic boom’ caused by RAF planes

The sound was reported by people all across the city who said they’d heard a loud noise, which some described as sounding like an "explosion," at around 4:15AM local time. Metropolitan Police confirmed the sound was a sonic boom caused by RAF planes and that there’s “no cause for public concern.”
