One day when Annapurnamma is at home thinking about how can she feed her daughter and her granddaughter, her daughter cries for food as she is hungry oblivious to the fact that there is no food at home. All of a sudden her daughter stops crying and to her amusement, he little granddaughter is feeding her disabled mother. This incident makes her sad and happy at the same time.

Annapurnamma was in a deep thought about her future and her prays to God for strength and hope in the form of granddaughter and like a good omen, the bells in the nearby temple ring.

Annapurnamma tells Sarada, even though she lost all her wealth and her near and dear ones, she never lost hope. That hope is what made her to live, or else what good reason she and her daughter  have to live. This hope and faith in God has made her overcome all her grief in her life.

Human life a gift of God, it is not your husband's, your relative's or your neighbor's charity to you, you shouldn't try to end it.

Not everyone's life is served on a silver platter, every human being has to suffer at some point in their lives. If you thing your life is tough then it gets even though, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

This hope of Annapurnamma and her granddaughter's help has made her cook meals and deliver home made food to the people in her neighborhood. She also helps disabled people who can't manage on their own just like her daughter.

Sarada keeps listening to the old woman's words, as if Annapurnamma is some sort of a Psychologist

Hope is everything. Life is Hope, fill your lives with hopes, without hope life is dull.

Tharuvaai bhaagam, remaining saga...

Annapurnamma starts to worry about how she would take care of her daughter without any means, she starts to cook food at people's houses and makes money, she would never leave her daughter alone. As her daughter grows older, people start getting irritated with her behavior and warn Annapurnamma that she can't come to work if she brings along her daughter to work. She prays to God for help and her prayers get answered.

Annapurnamma's step mother realizes her mistakes and comes back to to her and asks to leave her disabled child with her so that Annapurnamma can go work without any worries. This makes Annapurnamma very happy and her step mother starts to baby sit her. But the destiny has something else planned for her, her step mother dies because of old age.

Annapurnamma is left out with no one to take care of her daughter, and also she is an adult now. One day while Annapurnamma is cooking at someone's house, a friend of her father's meets her,  the friend remembered the help of Annapurnamma's father when she was in difficult times. The friend of her father as a token of appreciation and gratitude asks for her daughter's hand in marriage for her son. This proposal of hers makes Annapurnamma very happy.

Annapurnamma's daughter gets married, the son in law takes great care of her, he loves her a lot,  the son in law and the daughter beget a child. Annapurnamma's faith in God gets stronger, thanks Lord Venkanna swamy for such a caregiver of a son in law who married her daughter inspite of her disability

The destiny plays a the game of snake and ladder with Annapurnamma's life again, her son in law dies in an accident. Annapurnamma's daughter unaware of her husband's death asks her to server her some food when husband's dead body is in  the house.  Annapurnamma holds her tears and feeds her daughter, only then she take care of the final rites of her son in law. Annapurnamma thinks to herself, stranger are the ways in which God tests us.

God creates a few of us just to suffer, the moment he gives us a tiny bit of happiness, he takes away that small bit of happiness and replaces it with a insurmountable amounts of grief.
