Manglagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has approached the High Court seeking to dismantle the new TDP office constructed at Atmakur in Mangalagiri. He filed a public interest lawsuit. In his petition, the MLA said that the previous state government had issued a lease of 3.65 acres in Survey No. 392 for 99 years, which is illegal. He included the Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, the CCLA Secretary, the AP CRDA Commissioner, the District Collector and the President of the Telugu Desam Party as respondents. The lawsuit is expected to come for hearing on Monday. The petitioner recalled the Supreme Court's judgement on the allotment of lands at ponds and river basins, which is against the law. The lawyers requested the court to order CRDA Commissioner to cancel the GO of former government and demolish the illegal TDP building.
