Running during snow and ice

Any one here running in snow or ice 

I have a question I used yaktrax spikes on my shoes but it has created lot of pressure on my ankles and wondering how people run in Ice mostly , snow is easy to go good trail shoes but I am concerned about ice like today 
any one know of other options

Not a good choice to run on icy conditions... take a break on icy day and run on other days man
