Australian bushfires: Dozens missing, several dead as conditions set to worsen

Australia continues to battle a severe bushfire crisis, with at least 28 people unaccounted for and several deaths in the states of Victoria and New South Wales following a devastating start to the New Year. Ahead of worsening conditions this weekend, a state of disaster has been declared for parts of Victoria and NSW is under a seven-day state of emergency.

please pardon my ignorance.. is it really that hard to control wild fires... in this day with the technology the world has????

or is it just lack of will by govts to take that extra step...

Natural Disasters are enormous in size that humanity has no financially viable technology or research to control it.  Using any chemical to contain these wildfire will do more harm environmentally. 

And Yes, it is really hard to be in action and control the wild fires than passing just an ignorant comment.

That means although a financial burden... if pursued strongly wildfires can be controlled...  they might have an impact on economy temporarily...

 

but this brings us to a moral juncture.. money - lives lost....!!!

Money Vs Lives.... Countries who have more money would have more resources to save lives. But, here money and resources are finite elements.  Within their limited resources they would try to contain the fires. Plus, disaster management is not an easy task. Mismanagement could be a minor reason for this going out of control but may not be the sole reason. 

If you take into the perspective, airlines vallu manaki parachute ivvaru. Parachute valla weight peruguthundi which will subsequently increase ticket price, eventually it is not economically viable in current market. Again ee case lo kuda you can bring the moral discussion about Money vs Lives.
