CA DL renewal

Its been more than 3 months my CA DL got expired and would like to renew it now. Do I need to write written test ?

Already googled it but didn't get proper info. Any one has any idea?

Not needed...

if they say they need it, request the DMV manager  they have the authority to waive the written driving exam ..

No need to write the test.... you can request renewal .... I heard that you have to do the renewal within 6 months if you dont want to take the test again ...
