MeraBharat_Mahan Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 one of my friend went to a bankruptcy lawyer and negotiated with them to deal with debt collection agencies Say 5k card if the attorney settles for 1k you have to pay him 5% 250$ Bankruptcy attorneys (not too busy) are good to deal with Debt Collectors as they send Cease and Desist letters and can take the calls once you authorize them then u stop getting calls. I strongly recommend to ignore the medical bills if 10k. It hurts your credit for only 3 yrs. As long as you don't have any thing planning to big in another 3 yrs. you can just ignore it . After 3 yrs, it will be wipped out from your credit. Quote
