kidney Posted January 17, 2020 Report Posted January 17, 2020 You can be jailed for flying Kites and Balloons without License A kite is defined as an ‘aircraft’ according to the Indian Aircraft Act of 1934. So theoretically, for a young child to enjoy flying a kite he or she would need the same permissions, and need to go through the same paperwork to fly an aircraft. As per an existing law i.e. the Aircraft Act (1934), a kite (defined as an ‘aircraft’) cannot be flown without a license authorizing its use, manufacture and maintenance. Any person found to be violating this law is liable for both- a hefty fine as well as significant time in prison. The absurdity of the Act is further emphasised in Section 11 wherein any person found guilty of flying an aircraft so as to cause “danger” can be jailed for a term of 2 years or fined up to ten lakh rupees or both. The same remains the case for balloons as well. Quote
kidney Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 You need good teeth to become a motor vehicle inspector You read it right. In a toothy tale, according to this law, among the various physical tests one needs to pass in the process of becoming a motor vehicle inspector in Andhra Pradesh, one is also needed to have good teeth. kidney Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 Prostitution is legal, but being a pimp is illegal Prostitutes are allowed to practice their trade privately but cannot legally implore the customers in public. Organized prostitution like prostitution rings, brothels, pimping, etc. is illegal in India. Quote
kidney Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 Adultery, Section 497 We understand the concept of adultery being a punishable offence. Sadly, the law has some major gender discriminatory clauses. While a man can be sentenced to jail for adultery if reported, the women of the country can go around having as many extra marital affairs as they like without being pointed a finger at. Because, that's how much equality exists in India. Quote
kidney Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 Suicide Is Legal, Attempt Is Not So what the law teaches its citizens is that they can commit suicide but God forbid, if they survive, they're definitely going to prison. For all you considering committing suicide, just make sure you're successful at it unless you want to be punished for not doing it right. Quote
kidney Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 Legal Drinking Age The legal drinking age in some of the Indian states goes up to 25 years of age. It is strange how a citizen has the right to elect the Government at 18 years of age but is not considered mature enough to decide whether he/she wants to consume alcohol or not. How ridiculously unconvincing is that! Quote
kidney Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 Reservation In India We're not against the concept of reservation. It is only fair to open opportunities for those who cannot afford even the most basic of amenities. But at present, the reservations depend upon one's caste, gender and religion instead. The law has often been misused by people who do not actually need the perks and in turn, the deserving candidates have to suffer. It would have been so much better had the target groups been formed on the basis of their income instead of caste and gender. Quote

When a consultancy and vendor are involved between employee and Client then it is considered as crime, since it comes under trafficking. 1 Quote
