House and Senate Democrats dispute McConnell's rules resolution ahead of impeachment trial

Democrats from both chambers of Congress criticized the resolution introduced Monday evening by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell detailing the rules for President Trump's impeachment trial, which is set to begin in earnest this week. "Any senator who votes to deny a witness, who votes to deny evidence, is voting to cover up the President's crimes and subversion of the Constitution," said New York lawmaker Jerry Nadler, one of seven House managers set to make the case for the president's removal from office.
