I was shocked to see Balakrishna with such a restrained performance. His usual histrionics and silly antics are absent in his performance.

Yea . I haven't watched many  Balayya movies but konni old movies lo he has indeed performed well. Not sure why he chooses all thrash now.

ఈ మూవీ సమరసింహా రెడ్డి రాక మునుపుది ... మంచి రోల్స్ ప్లే చేసేవాడు ..మంచి ఫామిలీ entertainers ఉండేవి ...సమరసింహా రెడ్డి సినిమా తరువాత నుండి ఇమేజ్ అనే చట్రం లో ఇరుక్కు పోయాడు .. ఈ pulkha గాళ్ళు అతి చేస్తూ  ఆయన్ని బయటికి రానివ్వట్లేదు ....

Yea i agree. In this movie in a lot of the court scenes he could perform his usual histrionics and silly expressions but he did a good job. Maybe he hasn't worked with a good director as well.
