one main reason for corruption in UPA was not having full mandate.If BJP can’t trun around economy it is a wasted opportunity.

That provoked her, half a century ago, to launch a legislative lurch to the economic - nationalisation, restrictive labour and other laws, and tighter land laws. The economy is still paying the price for that primacy given to politics.

BJP seem to be taken over by similar thought process and the intelligentsia have distanced themselves from the process and what we are seeing is BJP dark side running the show. The attempt to secure the heartland with the Hindutva agenda has now pitted it against large minority populations of various kinds, dividing the country in new ways. In the quest to conquer more states BJP is losing the balance in my opinion
