Andy Rubin’s startup, Essential Products, shuts down

The co-founder of the Android system has shut down his smartphone startup, Essential Products, after a failed launch of its new product, Project GEM. Essential Products posted a blog on Wednesday that mentioned the main reason for the ceased production was the inability to find a "clear path" to get the device to consumers.

Great live example, just because you can write a software doesn't mean you can become a successful business man. It takes more than writing functions.
