The 10,000m world champion smashed the 5km road world record in Monaco on Sunday, clocking 12 minutes and 51 seconds. According to Reuters, Cheptegei's run eclipsed the mark set by Kenya's Rhonex Kipruto while he was en route to the 10km road world record last month.
