Most of the countries do not have rights protecting AI or ML -driven algorithms. If it is not human creation, it is not protected by copy right(according to Wipo). Now imagine some organization bought expensive software for the purpose of creation , only to learn the products of these software are not copyright protected. In such scenarios, some countries like UK, Newzealand have given the credit to the programmers who designed these algorithms, which seemed to the most plausible alternative in the current situations 1 1 Quote
