I have a similar feeling too. 

The next worst thing to happen is the burst of the start up bubble. Massive write off's and negative balance sheets of big banks and venture capital firms, and yeah all those AI start ups, especially those delivery companies will bit the dust or to save themselves, merge with each other and create a sort of monopoly...

But next bubble to be burst will be those start ups which are burning cash like anything...

the smartest people in these companies will still remain in silicon valley. They will not move out.

There are startups that went bust because they couldn't handle teams outside of silicon valley that were at loggerheads with those in silicon valley.I forgot the name of that popular AR startup based in florida, just to prove that they can make it big outside of Silicon valley.

Its not impossible, but its very very hard.

some accelerationists like Thiel think that Bay area willl leave the rest of the world behind, but it hasn't happened.
