recession refers to people not able to afford or pay off anything and inturn collapsing the finance market.....

but current scenarios..people can afford but wont buy....inturn collapsing the finances for the companies..which will slow down their growth

When companies cut the work force it will directly put them in a space where they can't afford, if not immediately. But I agree, this is not a recession.

but people ahve learnt lesson from last time..
