Despite being told to stay isolated, the first New Hampshire resident to test positive for the coronavirus reportedly attended an invite-only party nearby in Vermont Friday.

Management from The Engine Room, a public event space in White River Junction posted to Facebook Tuesday that they had been informed by the New Hampshire Department of Public Health that the individual had attended a party there.
“We have a professional cleaning company coming in to take care of this,” the management said in the Facebook post.

The post emphasized that both the New Hampshire Department of Public Health and the Vermont Department of Public Health had been in contact with the company.

“Both Health Departments stated that this is Low-Risk situation and recommended a thorough cleansing of The Engine Room to ensure the safety of all staff and guests,” they said in the post.

In a press conference Monday, New Hampshire’s state epidemiologist Benjamin Chan announced that the state has tested four people for coronavirus so far and one of those tests have come back positive for the disease caused by it, known as COVID-19.

On Tuesday, they announced a second person was presumed to have it as well. According to NBC Boston, health officials say the second individual to contract the COVID-19 disease, caused by the coronavirus, “was in close contact with the first patient.”
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire announce the second person to test positive for the virus was an employee of the hospital.

“As with the first patient identified on Monday, March 2, we have determined that this second patient has had no contact with patients,” the hospital said in a statement. “This patient was a close contact of the first identified patient and had gone into quarantine.”

Officials said they expect more coronavirus cases to be found.

“The single best thing for the public to do right now is to continue to follow typical flu prevention measures, including washing your hands often, avoiding touching your eyes, mouth or nose with unwashed hands and to avoid close contact with people who are sick," New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan said at the press conference on Monday.

According to management at The Engine Room, health officials said there was no reason to close the event space and that events would be going forward for the week and weekend.

“We just want to let the public know we are taking this seriously and following all the recommendations of the VT & NH Health Departments,” they said in a post.

You might travel and spread before you are already aware its infected...So, its not so easy...Unless everyone just stays where they are at home...
