that's call mob mentality - no logics. It is funny as paper products are all made in USA and you can see that most stores have them in stock in 2/3 days as that's what it takes to get them to stores from factory.

Incase if people need to self quarantine or a city lock down, it is one of the essential that they would need. Mug and water use cheyadam raadu kada.  Cleaners, medication, children (baby) essentials, and food that can be stored are the ones people would buy during this time.

if you see Italy today.. all of sudden, they imposed restriction on millions of its people...

it is for situations like these.. where you dont want to find yourself helpless...

 

We desis can survive with a mug as long as there is a water source..! Poor fellows they cant...

Food, Medicines, etc tho patu toilet paper and cleaning supplies anni out of stock ayithe I can understand. 

 

Everything else is okay but every store is running out of toilet paper

people tend to stock up on the basic stuff .. just in case.. in Florida this is quite common during hurricane season.. you can see empty shelves all around... panic buying has no rhyme or reason...
