LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) system announced Thursday morning that all schools would be closed through March 20 in response to the spread of the new coronavirus, also known as the COVID-19 virus. The decision came only hours after LCPS Superintedent Eric Williams told the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors at a coronavirus briefing that the school system had no immediate plans to close schools.
