I-94 Expiration Date

Hello everyone,

 I have the approval of h1-b from 01/06/2020 to 05/01/2022. But my I -94 is valid from 01/06/2020 to 05/01/2020 which is attached to I -797. Should i leave the country before 05/01/2020 ?  My passport is also valid till 2021 July. Is this is a mistake or should i exit

As per my knowledge you have exist the country and get it stamped....

I797 meedha 2022 dhaka unte I think they might extend your i94 at cbp office...not 100% sure.. but yeah you cant stay here beyond whats shown on the i94

My case is little bit different but yeah you have two options here for i94

1) Go out of the country and enter again which will give i94 till your H1B ext date

2) Apply for H1B extension which would automatically extend your i94

Incase if any one is looking for the same answer. attorney went and raised the service request. I have received the corrected approval notice I797 from USCIS after 3 weeks.
