ours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to nation calling for the Janata Curfew, Assam Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Promod Borthakur inaugurated a shopping mall on Friday as a huge crow gathered for the event.

Promod Borthakur was soon in the crosshairs when people questioned the MLA's social responsibilities.

BJP's Promod Borthakur, who represents the Biswanath constituency, inaugurated the premium mall in Biswanath Chariali.

An infuriated local of the city said, "PM Modi called for Janata Curfew yesterday and asked for avoiding large gatherings, and just hours after the address, the BJP MLA inaugurated the shopping mall."
