చంద్రాపూర్‌ (మహారాష్ట్ర): కరోనా వైరస్‌ వ్యాప్తిని అరికట్టేందుకు కేంద్రం ప్రకటించిన దేశవ్యాప్త లాక్‌డౌన్‌ కారణంగా వలస కూలీలు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు. సొంత ఊళ్లు వెళ్లేందుకు రవాణా సదుపాయం లేక.. కాలినడకన ఇంటికి చేరుకుంటున్న ఉదంతాలు ఒక్కొక్కటిగా వెలుగుచూస్తున్నాయి. తాజాగా మహారాష్ట్రకు చెందిన ఓ వలస కూలీ రెండురోజుల పాటు కనీసం ఆహారం ముట్టకుండా.. కేవలం మంచినీరు తాగి ఏకంగా 135 కిలోమీటర్లు ప్రయాణించి సొంత గ్రామానికి చేరుకున్న ఘటన కలచివేస్తోంది.

మహారాష్ట్రలోని చంద్రాపూర్‌ జిల్లా జాంబ్‌ గ్రామానికి చెందిన నరేంద్ర షెల్కే పుణెలో రోజువారీ కూలీగా పనిచేస్తున్నాడు. ఇటీవల ప్రభుత్వం కర్ఫ్యూ విధించిన నేపథ్యంలో ఇంటికి వెళ్లాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు. పుణె నుంచి నాగ్‌పూర్‌ వరకు రైల్లో చేరుకున్నాడు. అక్కడి నుంచి ఇంటికి వెళ్దామంటే అప్పటికే ఇతర రవాణా సదుపాయాలు ప్రభుత్వం నిలిపివేయడంతో కాలికి పనిచెప్పక తప్పలేదు. మంగళవారం తన నడకను ఆరంభించాడు. దారిలో ఎలాంటి ఆహారం తినకుండా కేవలం దాహం తీర్చుకుంటూ సొంత గ్రామానికి పయనమయ్యాడు.

Poor people will always suffer. Govt is asking everyone to stay where they are. They don’t have a reason to go to their native places in this time knowing that there is no transportation.

really sad , papam man 

one thing I'm not sure about is once this lockdown ends , will they continue to stop international travel? India may be out of woods but what happens in some one slips though the borders and it starts all over again?

I'm guessing they will not allow international travel for somemore time until all this settles but how long can we isolate the country

Start cheste in phases they will do with in states first & later with in country... Transport from abroad may not start so soon it also depends on situation abroad and also destination country condition matters...
