Hospitals nationwide are threatening to fire health care workers who publicize a lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) or other shortcomings in their working conditions. Some nurses and doctors have already been terminated for speaking out, Bloomberg News reported. 'Health care workers are being muzzled in an attempt by hospitals to preserve their image,' said a Washington State Nurses Association spokesperson.
