Brother HL Series works really good. 

I have HL2280DW for almost 4 years and works perfectly fine. It is not a compact printer. 

The toner is good for almost 1500 prints which I think is very nice.

cheap , got mine for 29 bucks but printer ink typically costs 25$ and it runs out pretty fast

best thing is to use ebay for ink , cheaper and works fine just as normal ink 

but if you have willing to spend buy something which is not an ink guzzler

I use hp Photosmart..worst printer..it's no longer printing..need a simple fix..but it will make my carpet dirty

 

Buy brother like someone told..they last long and cheap..

model is Canon pixma 2920/22 series , bought this several years back so ippudue price teliyadu

Nenubuse cheese printer 130 dollars... It prints photos too..but ink will run out

 

Costco will do refill of each colour for like 8$.. that makes it cheap..

If your local Costco do refill of cartridge ask them which in to buy.

 

Printers are made to go break every now and then..especially go printers..

 

I use copy and print service from local print shop (not FedEx)

So for entire year it costs me less than 200$ for my print jobs . If I use my regular printer it costs me 27$ to replace each cateidgem and they don't even come for 70 prints...so it's cheap taking prints outside.

 

On the pro side..my printer is still a good scanner. I use it to scan important documents.

Works good for Scanning and Printing but ink thega thaaguthundi.
