Caltrain losing $8 million a month

The commuter railroad is losing $8 million a month, Caltrain directors were told Thursday morning at a Joint Powers Board meeting held online. Caltrain CFO Derek Hansel said that includes lost revenue in fares, parking, leases and ad revenue. Caltrain's ridership since the shelter-in-place orders began is about 10% of normal.
