(I work in a orthopedics medical devices company as an analyst..our medical equipment is of no use to covid-19 patients). It is business as usual for now. 

had a preemptive discussion with my firm's HR  regarding h1 and furlough this is what was said : we will make all attempts to keep h1 folks working (there are 21-23 of us) If a furlough is unavoidable - first we will try to reduce your work hours..if we cross that stage then we will tell you to use your vacation time to cover the (full salary has  to be paid to h1 at all time) furlough..that will give us till June 30. If by June 30 we do not return to business as usual..expect layoffs.

This is true..ford doing this 4 days week..this is indirect 20% pay cut..unlike gm general 20% pay cut

Leaving out of the country is the only option for non-payment on H1.
