Hi Friends,

I am on H1B Visa with approved I140.Incase na job pothe can I apply change of status to F1? Will it be approved? Reason I am asking is F1 is non immigrant visa and H1b with approved I140 means I have Immigration intentions.Please share your thoughts

Brother.. when you are asking anything about immigration related items.. Best source is to consult with an Immigration Lawyer in USA.

There are several of these lawyers from Desi community. Don't ever believe in what anyone responds here because they probably are answering based on what they know or have heard off.. I know a friend who screwed his entire 15 years professional career doing exactly what you did..

Consultation costs only $100 or $150 not more at all..

H1—>B1—->F1

Good Post.. its very rare to get advice like this in this forum.

Totally agree with you dude..

TS: Please consult an immigration attorney, they charge 100-150 for a 30 mins -1 hr consultation.
