aparna.1991k Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 I have some knowledge about this.Geographically, Telangana is such that, the land is at a higher altitude than the river (lifting the river is the 'ethi pothala padhakam')Is it fair to compare Telangana with Godavari districts which are down stream and thus very fertile? At the same time, I know Vizag, Vij and Srikakulam are barren and dependent on rains just like Telangana as they dont have any rivers.Don't you think its an overkill to say Telangana people starve to death when there are no rains? That is a problem all over India in rain dependent farming.The most imp point is, Irrigation minister since 2004 was a Telanganite (Ponnaala) and what is he doing? Won't he be the same after Telangana is separated? Who has more authority than him to change the situation?

If there is such a simple situation why split the state.. just ask for Telangana CMs' for the next 20 years!Split ayyaka Rangareddy CM vachi, thana district ne develop chesukunte?PS: Decisions are made by cabinet and not CM.
