TheCompleteMan Posted April 16, 2020 Report Posted April 16, 2020 India did good job by doing contact tracing.... early travel Ban... I wonder what happens when they reopen businesses. Quote
kakatiya Posted April 16, 2020 Report Posted April 16, 2020 By doing 149 tests per million, No tests no positive results. On early march , America saw 97 deaths with 5000 cases across the country. Now America has close to 30,000 deaths , number of positive cases more than 200,000. It is too early to judge .. All countries completly eradicated swine flu.. but in India every year 1600-2500 die from swine flu alone. Quote
Jambhalheart Posted April 16, 2020 Report Posted April 16, 2020 https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...ive_share_tray Some comparative data in this article. The one that intrigued me was the number of tests conducted by India and a few other affected countries when they passed benchmark cases. India conducted 114000 tests by the time they crossed 5000 cases. For the same landmark, US tested 104k, Uk tested 78k, Italy 50K and Canada 241k. When India crossed 10k cases a couple of days ago, it had tested 217k people. For the same landmark of cases, the US tested 140k, the UK 114K, Italy 73K and Canada almost 300K Quote
VakeelSaab Posted April 16, 2020 Report Posted April 16, 2020 Its not about less no of tests Agreed actual number of cases may be around 30k by now , not testing is even more dangerous and considering india's population lakhs of people would have been died by now with this disease or rushed to hospitals with severe symptoms even though if the tests are not done. none of that happened so far So India has done good job so far , and good thing to see is both government and people have taken this seriously which is main reason for not many cases.
