Personally know few cases where buyers are backing out now after giving advances ( gave advances before lock down)

Rates thagguthayee ani drop avuthunnaru emo

wait , prices will be down to some extent as there is a loss of income for most sectors so buying power will get reduced

couple of things can happen though :

real estate owners not reducing prices and holding inventory for longer periods until there is economic recovery , in this case the prices will be stagnant

overseas Individuals/firms increase real estate investing in Indian market , this could happen as a lot of people are on stand by waiting for prices to be down or either stagnant

lets see

google 'indian real estate' and click on news , there will be a livemint article with some predictions , go through it

Not all developers can afford to wait till rates improve to sell. They take finance for huge interest rates to fund the projects. Such developers will prefer to get rid of inventory even for some discounts.

Hyderabad lo price increases happened due to development of roads, outer ring road and metro. There could be some hike due to hype but majorly happened due to development activities. So I dont think we will see a 30% down..

I guess it would stabilize or less than 20% down for some time until the market picks up...but you would definitely not see a real estate crash in hyd...no other place in india has such beautiful infra and roads

50 kms away from city? Thats not even called outskirts :)

Sure..during any tough situations outskirts are the first to be impacted and it could be definitely much higher than the city vicinity (10kms away from city)

City and within 10kms from city would have less than 20% impact worst case...
