Telugu man succumbs to COVID-19 in UK

Hyderabad: A Telugu man, Hanumantha Rao Kopparapu, who was under treatment for COVID-19 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in the United Kingdom passed away on Sunday.

According to information reaching here, Rao, a native of Vijayawada, was a Tech Mahindra employee who went onsite to work for Vodafone. He was 47 and is survived by his wife, a 13-year-old son and five-year-old daughter.

According to a post on crowd funding website gofundme, posted by Rao’s friend Venkata Rupanagudi to collect funds to support the family, Rao had passed away on April 19 at the Royal Berkshire hospital, Reading, United Kingdom.

He is suspected to have contracted the virus while attending a birthday party, with many others who attended the same party too testing positive.

According to his Facebook profile, Rao studied at the Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, and also at the RVR and JC College of Engineering.

Just couple of Hrs back friend was talking about his death. Dead body ni India ki move cheyyadaniki oppukoledhu. And they didn't allow his family to see him. Just electrical cremation button ki allow chesaru annadu. I didn't ask if they allow the family members to operate the button.
