Very plausible. We are, probably, made by the higher conscious beings. The ones who can see more dimentions beyond the space-time dimension consciously, not just mathematically.

i do not believe we were made by someone specifically. evolution says that we evolved from simple life forms which was result of abiogenesis .

had we been created , it would not have been in that route. 

Prometheus was good but i hated the fact that they did not continue the story

We were not made directly as human species. But it looks as if we are programmed to evolve to what we are today and probably something else tomorrow. We don't have control over how evolve in our current life. And the process itself is in alignment to protect us from all the theats and move us into the next stage.

highly unlikely.  100% of our life is governed by evolution. there are no gaps to fill here as to why we are here at this moment in evolution. had there not been a meteor that killed all dinosaurs , maybe lizards would be intelligent and ruling earth and most mammals might have gone extinct.
